| Motors of the AOM series Dear business partners,
please let us inform you that EM Brno Ltd. beginning on 1st September 2007 completely takes over manufacture of explosion proof motors – AOM 180 and AOM 200 types from SIEMENS Frenštát, i.e. EM Brno will manufacture all machines at the range of axis height H 71 up to H 200 mm. The motors are gradually certified by ATEX in accordance of ČSN EN 60 079-0 (presently are certified heights H 71 to H160, certification will be finished within September 2007). New valid certificates shall replace the certificates with expired validity.
Basic motor performance in sizes H 71 up to 132 mm is designed for ambient temperature from -20°C to +40°C, temperature class T4, classification Ex d IIC T4. On request can be delivered the motors for ambient temperature from -50°C to +60°C, or for temperature class T5 (Ex d IIC T5) or for mines Ex d I, always with possible mains or frequency converter supply.
The heights H 160 up to H 200 are classified Ex d IIB+H2 T4, ambient temperature -20°C to +40°C. On request can be delivered machines for temperature class T5
(Ex d IIB+H2 T5) or for mines Ex d I. Mains or frequency converter supply. Temperature from -50°C to +60°C on request.
In all sizes H 71 up to H 200, the motors fed from the rains, can be equipped with PTC thermistors with temperature 150°C (on request also with lower temperature). In case of frequency converter supply, the motors are equipped with an auxiliary plate with text: „The motor is equipped with thermistors 140°C for operation with frequency converter from 25 to 70 Hz“and completed with reinforced insulating system, PTC thermistors 140°C, two screened cable outlets for connection of screened heating cables to appropriate terminals. Motors can be also delivered with units preventing from water condensation in non-operating condition.
