Type marking by manufacturer SDS 08s/F, it is four-poles generator of DC current with shunt excitation, powered thru voltage control unit 3 GN 016 from its own terminals.
Commutating and compensating windings are connected in series with armature winding. Series field winding is connected only in function of automatic starter.
Dynamostarter in assembly with voltage control unit serves for production of DC electric energy. In the function of automatic starter it only serves for primary start-up of auxiliary devices.
Machine is equipped with fan on the motor shaft. At a continuous nominal load it is necessary to assure combined cooling: Actual fan + inlet air at overpressure 120 mm H2O on the inlet of the air duct.
Dynamostarter can be operated in assembly with voltage control unit in environment WW 27 in the temperature range -60 to +60 °C and relative humidity from 20% to 95% ± 3%. Device is able to operate up to 10 000m elevation. Environmental temperature in non-operating status is from -60 to +100 °C.
Protection IP 20, cooling ICA 01, shape IM 3001.
Flange on the back side, dynamostarter can be operated in all positions.
Surface painting is provided in black color, clamps – polished stainless steel.
