Explosion proof low voltage squirrel-cage induction motors of AOM, AVM, AKM series with marking Ex d IIC T4(T5) or Ex d IIB+H2 T4 (T5) are designed for drives of explosion proof electric devices of group II, category 2G in the areas, where is expectable source of explosive atmosphere created by gases, vapors or fogs – „G“ class.
Motors of mentioned series are marked with logo of EU for explosion proof motors and symbols and category of devices II 2G.
Motors of AOM, AVM, and AKM series with marking Ex d I are designed for drives of explosion proof electric devices of group I, category M2 in substructure parts of mines and in surface installations of these mines, where is possibility of methane exposure or occurrence of combustible carbon dust. It is supposed, that these devices would be switched off in case of occurrence of explosion atmosphere. Motors of mentioned series are marked I M2.

Motors in basic variant have nominal outputs set for continuous load S1, frequency 50Hz, and coolant temperature to 40 °C and placement to 1000 m elevation.
Explosion proof motors are fully enclosed, externally cooled, low voltage motors with short-circuit armature, with horizontally - vertically ribbed frame.
Range of outputs 0,25 to 30 kW at 1500 min-1, number of poles 2 to 8.
Nine type sizes (axial heights) H71 to 200 mm.
Motors with axial heights from 71 – 100 are normally produced in protection IP 54, in modified and special designs in protection IP 55, axial heights 112 – 200 in protection IP 55, with cooling IC 411, for nominal voltage 400 V.
Motors can be operated in environment with relative air humidity up to 95% at 25 °C and temperature from -20 to +40 °C, on customer’s request from -50 to +60 °C.
